Corsican Asbestos Exhibition

Asbestos is a fibrous mineral that has been widely used in construction and industry due to its fire-resistant and insulating properties. However, exposure to asbestos particles poses a serious health risk to the lungs. When these microscopic fibers are inhaled, they can lodge in lung tissues and, over time, cause inflammation and scarring. This can lead to serious lung diseases such as asbestosis, lung cancer, and mesothelioma, an aggressive form of cancer affecting the lung membranes. Because symptoms often appear decades after exposure, asbestos remains a lurking danger to public health.

For the first time, an exhibition specifically dedicated to the dangers and solutions related to working with asbestos will take place in Corsica. BMair has been providing filtration systems for heavy equipment for years to prevent the aforementioned risks associated with asbestos. Aimed at stakeholders in construction, schools and universities, local authorities, and the general public near asbestos-contaminated sites, the exhibition aims to:
